Pro Bono Work

Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles

"NLSLA is a private, non-profit law firm advocating for low-income residents by providing effective legal representation and a variety of legal services and community education." From offices in Pacoima, El Monte, and Glendale, the organization serves all of Los Angeles County.

Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law

The Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law works to "protect victims of domestic violence and improve the well-being of children living in poverty." The Center has provided family law and domestic violence assistance for low-income Californians since 1986. Judith R. Forman is chair of the Center's Advisory Council.

American Jewish Committee

AJC works to "safeguard and strengthen Jews and Jewish life worldwide by promoting democratic and pluralistic societies that respect the dignity of all peoples." The Los Angeles Office of AJC has become the preeminent voice of the local Jewish community. Judith R. Forman has served as a vice president of AJC LA.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

The well-known nationwide organization Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children "realize their potential and build their futures. Our office recognizes and supports the work of Big Brother Big Sisters.

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

"The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has been rated as a four star charity by Charity Navigator and has been awarded the 'Best in America' seal from Local Independent Charities in America." The organization distributes food and other products to needy people throughout our community, conducts hunger education and awareness campaigns, and advocates for public policies to fight hunger.

Project Angel Food

"Project Angel Food's mission is to nourish the body and spirit of men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. Volunteers and staff cook and deliver free and nutritious meals prepared with love throughout Los Angeles." Every week, the organization delivers more than 13,000 meals to people in need.
